Ye gads town is busy!!!

Well up early into town and NO BLARDY shops open until 9am we were in there by 8.45am.son desperately needed new jeans and Hallensteins have a really good deal going so new jeans sorted, also purchased a new book for him (3rd in a series) and we were home again by 9.50am and all the crazy people were surfacing. While we were out had a scrummy bacon and egg sandwich fresh off a BBQ the smell was wafting down the street and I had to have one!!Son had sausage and onion, something about stuff cooked on a BBQ.

Another glorious day sunny although WINDY, have been for a short walk and managed to FIND more washing (the new jeans and 3 other items to make a small LOAD), I HAVE no more washing except the clothes I am in and my sons clothes that he is in!!!!

My friend has been holding off lighting the fire, BUT come last WED it had to be lit, AND since then EVERY night it has been on!! Strange how you hold off for soo long and then WHAM you can't do without it!!!!!

I am such a noodle I thought I had 8 days off in a row, WAAAAAAAAAAAA I dont I get 4 days off then work all week then get NEXT WEEK off how in the hell did I stuff that up! Oh well lucky I am on top of my washing haha!

Have also inbetween washing cleared out draws and wardrobes and put all our dress up gear into a large draw for future themed events that require zany dress! Still trying how to figure out photos am just this moment going to give it another try.Even managed gardening this morning (just running the hoe through nothing strenuous) I promised myself NEVER to let the gardens get on top of me again!

Hope everyone is still relaxing

I know I said only posting every 3 weeks......

but what the hey I am home and its the holidays. Have had a productive night morning have done 6 loads washing all our sheets and towels and school uniform stuff, freshen it up soak shirts in napisan etc(boring I know), I also grabbed my partners washing we live apart (very very long story) and spring cleaned his little place and got his sheets etc as well and even ripped the clothes off his back and made him put clean stuff on!!!. NOW those that dont know me I am a washing fanatic and ironing machine!! WHY who knows have I also mentioned I LOVE cleaning ovens!!!(cleaned 2 in this last week for families whom have visitors coming (a nice cash earner I charge $100 per oven AND NO ONE has ever said NO why CAUSE they blardy hate doing it!!!!!!). And aside from the cash I love doing it truly I do!!!! (weird I know).

Last night was friggin freezing with the emphasis on friggin, BUT we woke to sunny skies and windy hence all the washing, I am also one of those people WHOM wash at night when I have a heap to do so I can hang it all out early and believe me on a good day I have been known to get 9 loads of washing dry!!!!!(my grandmother was a village washer woman in hey young years and I think I have her fetish!!!!(can I call it that) mine stretches a bit further though my clothes must have pegs the same colour when peggin out no odd colours, and on not particularly sunny days IF I am home I CANT help myself I must turn washing around and move peg marks!!!!! drives me insane IF I dont do it!!!1 (even stranger)!!!! and I iron nearly every day a few items so I DONT have a humungous pile to do at end of the week, (although on the odd occasion I do just that and end up regretting it).

Enough about washing although washing on a sunny windy day is bliss!

Got a cadbury easter egg and chocolate buttons from the kiddies I look after and a bunny rabbit tall one, AM re gifting them as I dont want to eat 12 marshmallow and cadbury egg and bunny too!!! thats just being piggy!!! The marsh mallow ones are in packets of 6 I have had 2 so far!!!And am sharing the rest on Sunday at my friends house we go there to watch motor racing and have dinner etc.....

Hope everyone else is relaxing like me (yes I find doing washing and ironing relaxing)!!! Now yall must think I am truly strange!!!!!!

Where are THE MARSHMALLOW EGGS..........

Waaaaaaaaaaa last week I went into the supermarket SAW packets and packets of Pinky marshmallow eggs, cadbury all flavours marshmallow eggs, peppermint, hokey pokey caramello centre, plain I ONLY LIKE marshmallow eggs and THOSE ones ONLY!!!!!!!!!! and now THERE IS NONE anywhere IN TAUPO ............... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Obviously I WONT BE HAVING ANY this year!!

I was scheduled to walk on a 5km sponsored walk with the school (a fundraiser) all classes got specific areas to cover and money donated is towards sports equipment etc, WELL no rain for the last 4 WEEKS NEARLY, this morning BIG FAT RAIN and it was cancelled and you guessed as soon as it was cancelled VOILA fine spells a little cold but fine spells nonetheless. Noiiiiiiiiiiicceeeeee roads will be greasy for Easter travellers, PEOPLE please be careful, but all the grocery shopping has been done (minus MY BLARDY EASTER EGGS!) everyone else got their favourites! Last minute shelf filling in the pantry as Taupo goes MAD over Easter if its fine then the boaties come and the crazy people, if its wet and cold then all the people head into town for ALL EASTER shopping as the only day closed for us is FRIDAY!!!! so traffic is at a standstill for 9km back to Wairakei (state highway 1 ) and town congested and it makes for road rage aplenty! NO THANKS.......

I have only walked a little this week was making today one of my walks and well it just hasnt happened. I saw an elderly man last week walk from the Doctors and his retirement village into town all up about a 2km trip it took him 2 and a half hours!!!! (I passed him going into town at 9am when I was at doctors getting stuff(his village is across the road handy I know) then when I had finished in town and headed back home and then back into town at 11.30am I saw him NEARLY back home with his grocery bag of items from Pak n Save!!!)Why because he has had a very bad stroke and it has left him severly immobilised down one side DOES THIS STOP HIM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he has a prominent limp and dragging leg, he has a three pronged stability walking stick and HE BLARDY walks every day !!!!! I on the other hand I have no such impediments and do I WALK EVERY DAY NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!(shaking head)

When I was incarcerated for over 3 months with my injury and unable to walk or drive!!!! I WANTED TO JUST get up and move NOW that I am able too again DO I NO! funny the issue behind that.

Am looking forward to Easter have about 8 days off and my son and I have movies planned and relaxing so YAY, he won a Mr T lookalike competition and won movie tickets A C Baths tickets, and Burger Fuel vouchers so he was thrilled he looked great might post a picture when I figure it out.

We are also planning a day trip to Rotorua sometime next week YAY (we get the sushi over there at the food court), and mooch around shopping or browsing......... more variety and just plain more quantity....

FROSTS ALREADY eeeekkkkkkkkkkk

The early morning walks have been in the dark lately and well last 3 mornings FROSTS and dam cold, I contemplated a few years ago getting a treadmill, WELL now I have decided to GET ONE!!!!! dark cold and RAIN (well no rain yet) and me just don't mix.

I am sure it didn't get this cold (for Taupo) until MID to end April last year!!! oh well

Have lost another 1.8kg so am stoked but not walking as many days I bit jaded by end of working day and figure the treadmill and me hopefully will work if not Trade Me or garge sale time again.

Further to my last post the nacho mix also has mushrooms mild chilli beans and tinned tomatoes and garlic tomato puree I cooked it ALL night on low was cooking it at 11pm at night then into crockpot until 6am, then I took it too school replugged it in and THE KIDS got to smell it from 9am until lunchtime when I served it up......... The teacher said it made them hungry ALL DAY!!!!!

We have had glorious weather here in taupo fine sunny days some barmy afternoons and mild evenings then hellishly cold mornings!!! So on the weekend I AIRED out all the winter blankets and they went onto the beds and I must say we have had better sleeps for it, I am also looking into a BIO MAG, because of my injuries (recent and not so recent) I am going to give it a whirl, IF I am not satisfied back it goes(with a full refund), a costly outlay BUT I like the money back gaurantee(sp).

It is interesting actually being in the school environment and seeing the dynamics and relationships of the children growing and forming their independance, am thoroughly enjoying it alot of people asked me would I train for little kiddies preschool stuff AND I SAID NO, but I like the 10- 12 bracket, little kids I love I get to see alll the milestones and the cute stages, but pre adolescent is to me intriguing.

Haven't alot to say really I feel my life at the moment is levelling and has been panning out quite nicely, no stress, no dramas, nothing major anyhow and am in cruise mode.(But I know after the last 6 years I AM SECRETLY glad) because I dont want that episode ever again (family related ) I read somewhere that putting it out there (positive vibes) at some stage they come back to you WELL mine must of been in the outer realms of undiscovered space!!!!!

If there was an award for slackest poster

I WOULD WIN IT!!!! BUT.......................... I have been ultra super mondo busy I was headhunted by my sons school principal to do Teacher Aide work, I accepted and am now working 10 hours at school 3 mornings a week and on top of my 30 hours so THATS me FULLTIME and I am loving it...... I have picked up my walking now EARLY in the morning and have lost 8kgs in the last month so THATS cool I think it is more to do with I am not at home on my mornings off (from my major job) eating inbetween so thats a bonus too, it is nice having more adult conversation with the teachers although the teacher aide work is only reading and spelling with the children that need extra help, and the principal was like we see you here 3 x a week and ARE NOT advertising the job we would like you to have it!!!! AND I help in the library too.

NOW a close friend of mine says to me all the time YOU NEED to stay away from school, BUT I FEEL thats why my son excels at school I was there on FRIDAY at a shared lunch WITH my famous NACHO MINCE it was a HUGE HIT so thats 5 years of school children in a row introduced to the MASON mince mix with 4 veges grated into the mix (onion, carrot, zucchinni, capsicums all colours) I go there 3 times a week on and off to the assembly's and participate in all the opportunities going!!!! AND VOILA a job came out of it so IM THRILLED, also the school is going to send me away for training etc so that is cool and it is exciting most of the kids know me.
Picked up also a little job babysitting for a family of FOUR !!!! eeeeeeeekkkk just a once a night thing once a month I came reccommended (from my employers GOD BLESS THEM lol with the strictest rules though NO POACHING!!!) to them and I charged them HUGE amount in the hope it would deter them !!!!!THIS IS where the I can't say NO thing comes into play! I thought if I charged them an exorbatent amount they might reconsider BUT NO (they didnt batter on eyelid!) Their kiddies are 10,9,7,6 and super energised but delightful full of chatter and life, and love board games MY FAVOURITE scrabble, monopoly, trouble so we had a hilarious afternoon night.

THE IRONMAN event is here in Taupo this weekend so all the tanned toned buffed people are here and I AM not venturing out the weather improved a little no wind or torrential rain but overcast drizzle to steady rain at times and no gale winds SO LUCKY for them.
My gorgeous son is going for his 2nd BROWN belt in karate (there is 3 levels of brown THEN BLACK ) on Monday and he is so pschyed he trains 2x a week ALL YEAR round and is motivated committed passionate and his teacher(here in Taupo George and the MASTER (Takahshi from Japan visits once a year) have high expectations he is around SEP/OCT this year due to complete black belt(just 2 years to get to this he starte at 11yrs old)and is being considered for NZ CHAMPS yay I am so thrilled for him he deserves every bit of accolade he is dedicated THATS FOR real, there is a huge seminar in Auckland this weekend BUT I just couldn't raise the $900 needed in time BUT next time with the extra work I am getting it will be a breeze... also 3 businesses have said they will help with sponsorship and also a large scholarship programme has sent us forms for consideration so YAY .(inserting proud mother grin here).

I am focussing on the half marathons and am FINALLY OFF the pain killers this week and am on 2 panadol WHEN required (just in the mornings), and it is alot more comfortable and I am pleased I DID ALL the right things and was RESONABLY patient!!! because well if you screw with your feet they are what supports you and if you get it wrong its painful for the rest of your life!!! It still twinges and reminds of the pain every now and then and I AM WAY more careful how and where I step sometimes, pedanticly so but I KNOW I don't want to go there again.

I feel I will probably only blog once a month or every 3 weeks so on that note glad to read everyone else's blogs which I tend to read at like 10pm 10.30pm then FLOP into bed tuckered out!!!!!
