OK HERE GOES NOTHING PHOTOS GALORE

Just a reminder OF WHAT I had to tame EVERYDAY for the most of my 41 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the age of 7 I had hair down to my bottom and all one length, my mother would wash my hair and 7 in the morning and put it up before school when it was let down after school it would still be wet!!!! where scrunhie and ribbons had been, it would take an hour to rag roll at night and then an hour to comb and section before wash for school!!!!!!!

Ok first photo is of the 6 inches cut off my hair YES 6 inches and it looked like a dead possum!!!!

Then this product goes on takes about 20 mins to apply is thicker than porridge and really stinky, (nah it didnt smell too bad) that was left in for 40 mins (can be up to an hour)....

They glad wrap your head of course and that is the bees knees (NOT) ............

Then your hair is washed, blow dried straight then straightened with straighteners and glossed THEN neutralized and THEN yip you guessed it they leave that for 10 mins then wash and repeat!!!!!!!!!again wash blow dry straightened neutralise!

NEARLY DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINISHED PRODUCT and boy IT IS WAY GLOSSIER and SUPER UBER SHINY now you cant get this done if your hair has colour in it ANY REMNANTS of colour has to be cut away aside from the fact I had 10 month old colour in there I opted to have 6 inches cut anyhoo.

Below was my hair at 9.30am Tuesday 9th June 2009 I even liked it this morning but didnt think twice about the opportunity of having nice straight hair I am wrapt with the result yes I have had straight hair before (GHD straight) BUT nothing prepares you for the SUPER FLAT straightness of professionally PERMANENT straightening TOTAL cost $650. Cost to ME $40 for the product, I bought the apprentice hairdresser (I was her model) a bunch of flowers some choccies and a bottle of wine for her efforts IT TOOK 4 hours from start to finish and I counted 15 treatment steps from wash to cut, product to wash blowdry to straightened gloss to neutraliser then wash to blowdry and straighten to more neutraliser too final wash and blow dry and straighten then super high gloss !!!!! They are going to lift it at the back by 1 - 2 inches and then I am done

and you will all get the gist of the story NEEDLESS TO SAY my hair is SUPERB!!!!!!! Janene I realize I have gorgeous curly hair I always have BUT this is a BUG BEAR, on the first day I wash it and style it , IT LOOKS stunning by day 2 and 3 it is FRIZZY BOOFY FLYWAY and sticks out like an overgrown hedgerow!!!! lol I have had my hair straightened before just for a day or 2 BUT when this opportunity came I jumped at it!!!!! I am soooooo lucky I cant stop pinching myself. I have had thick curly hair all my life even down to my bottom when I was 7 and I had it drastically chopped then it grew again too below my bra strap all one length, I then had a major car accident and 15 years ago lost all my beautiful curls, since the accident I have had 2 major surgeries a baby and my hair WAS NEVER the same I grew it out for 15 years to hopefully regain my beautiful locks sadly they aren't coming back and WELL I hope to have straight hair for at least 6 months and up to 10 months!!! Maori and Pacific Island hair is the best hair for straightening it is genetically strong and wiry and able to withstand the chemical process!!!! In my opinion WELL WORTH it......... (oh and I only had my hair coloured twice in the last 10 years although I have a handful of grey hairs it doesnt bother me the grey hair I like to think it adds character.) And that was my day basically teacher Aide for an hour hairdressers 4 hours worked 3 hours then home!!!!!

TOO TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha fooled yays sorry SHE is soooooo excited AND I AM BUZZING I cant hardly blardy wait and that means people 5 MORE SLEEPS!!!! until sleek smooth non boofy hair wooooooooooohoooooooooooooo.

AND on that excited note one tired elated buzzed out blondie is heading to nae nae's(sleep)....... my appearance on TV this morning has left me drained!!!!!! lol

Chilli mince now famous on BREAKFAST YAY......

Hi everyone HAD an amazing morning with TAMATI COFFEY weather reporter from Breakfast, we started our journey from last night OUR famous chilli mince in the slow cooker from 7pm until 6.30am (ingredients to follow)

1 onion brown in pan
add mince 500gms to one kilo
lightly brown
add garlic 1 teaspoon
add mushrooms 250 gms
add 1 tin tomatoes
add 1 tin chilli beans mild or hot
add 1 tablespoon tomatoe paste
grate large carrot
grate large zucchinni
FOR todays recipe I tjhrew in a tin of spaghetti to bulk it out a bit too!!!!!
put into slow cooker ideally 10 - 12 hours
serve with grated chees and sour cream (veges optional and if any left over roast veges CHUCK that in too.)

TAMATI loved it we arrived about 6.40am and stayed until 8.40am Samuel and I were on TV about 7.40am with our crockpot of chilli mince and he got to read out the ingredients (he actually cooked this batch), TAMATI crew even had some. THE FLASH restaurant that came and made the yummy breakfast potato rosti with chorizo sausage poached egg and basil pesto looked divine, TAMATI didnt have any of that though.

I didnt get photo shots (however i did take camera THE switch on button sticks and is faulty we have discovered even though it had fresh batteries) ( I knew dam well it would play up the blardy cantankerous thing) but did get phone camera shots so when I figure that out I WILL load the photo of Samuel Tamati and I.HE is soooooooo dam lovely I got a kiss and cuddle and we talked about Dancing with the Stars and GOK!!!! He is so approachable and a real coo for Breakfast it was sooooooooo much fun ALTHOUGH freezing it was not 0 degrees it was -2 and EVERYONE had some of my chilli mince and loved it!!!!!

It is easy to see how the public are drawn to Tamati and his crew they are great!

Photos of my new swimwear (Brave I know )

Now I know why I weigh myself and it stays at a maintained weight, I am doing it all wrong!!!!

I thought I would put up my before and after swimwear photos as they can give a BETTER appreciation of the weight lost at the time.

I soooo love these photos and the BIKINI one I sent to a male friend as I said to him at the time I had been on holiday with mutual friends of ours AND when he heard they had swimwear shots of me HE WAS LIKE ohhhhhhhhh email them through (he likes chunky women) and he abused me later (in jest of course) for teasing him!!!!

(hope these photos provide a giggle), or chortle or two.

Hair hair and hair oh and maybe a photo...

Oh god and the photo is at the top how in the hell did I manage that, that photo I call gurda the goat herder that was me 3 years ago, when i used to farm sit for friends the blue shirt and diagonal skirt was at the end of my journey, and I will add a before and after hair shot too (Buffy fluffy hair and then sleek straight hair).......

I HAVE THE MOST fantastamazing news I AM FINALLY getting my hair straightened JUNE 10th YAY YAY YAY YAY.... I can hardly wait 13 more sleeps to go, I found out yesterday but was too tired too blog so there.

The hairdresser girl has to cut my hair!!!! GULP short way shorter than I have had for the last oh say 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But for the amount of hair I have the straightenening would normally cost $650 and for $50 I am paying for product they are providing service(free)I get straight as hair!!!!!!!!

Following on from my last post, I have managed to clear garage and get exercise gear sorted have I used it HELL NO!!!! Eating has been ho hum and I still maintain my weight it doesnt go up or down so indicates I eat to maintain, no drama.

I eased back on my walking as MY FOOT was seriously aching and crying out AND I DONT want to rely on painkillers for the rest of my life!!! I do my foot exercises every morning flex and stretches etc like a good girl PITY I couldnt have sprained and torn all the ligamnets in MY WHOLE body (cause then I would have to exercise! the whole body).

I went to karate (my sons dojo) to watch him Tuesday just gone, he is so focussed and determined and is starting to sprout up since xmas has gained on my friend (she is 56 and a short arse) and he is now half a head taller than her and gaining fast on his mother(me) eeeekkkkk!! and I am only a respectable 5ft 6 ish! maybe 5ft 7 at a pinch.

He will be examined for his last brown belt soon then in sep/oct it is his BLACK BELT then National garadings and NZ team he is soooooooooo excited, when he bulks up a bit more he will be a force to be reckoned with me thinks, it is starting to become automatic response muscle memory reflex fighting sheesh try saying that fast. (non combat at this stage) so he is looking great, what with karate 2x a week and rugby 2x practices and a saturday game he IS EATING LIKE a gutted out army of locusts!!!!

Nothing exciting planned for Queens birthday weekend, I have spent the last few weekends (BECAUSE OF RAIN) clearing cupboards draws etc, will potter in garden am missing being outside in the garden actually, and have enquired about an Israeli combat course for my son to participate in( it is organised through Youthtown) they are running youth activities from today until sunday one of them the Israeli thing is combat and defensive RIGHT up his alley.then on Friday a huge afternoon of events games at our youth centre, and on Saturday night 7 - 10 pm a dance so I will take him along.Our kids have better social lifes than us WHY IS THAT?

Hell with 3 - 4 days spare I may even do some walking (if you can call 4 - 5km strolls a walk) and of course it will be weather based.
