Time,money,motivation

I have had a lovely nearly week of time off, been to the movies have read 4 books, watched 2 movies I have eaten, slept, done ONE DAY of housework (impressive for me), AND only ONE lot of ironing,even more impressive only because when I am off work I wear the DO NOT IRON CLOTHES!

I am on the track of where does all the time go I havent been up early walking I have been slouching in bed reading until 8am - 8.30am, then mooching around, haven't even done gardens and WISHED I HAD because now it is going to RAIN!!!Now that I am not working late I can CONCENTRATE on exercising I am for once going to focus on nighttime exercising these last few weeks have been hard as daylight savings is mucking my body around and the dark starts are frustrating and time consuming now, I am putting a TV in the GARAGE and I will be set!!!! I will try however to walk maybe in the morning IF I CAN but am not going to stress about it, I have 2 hours inbetween jobs where I am going to walk around the streets from the school to my NEXT JOB which is only 3 streets away sort of criss cross streets up one block down the other etc until I have done 6 loops.

I am sure that If we had more time to OURSELVES without interruptions, like phones, making things to eat, washing, ironing,housework,grocery shopping, bill sorting, sleeping,WORKING, kids, then maybe we could justify squeezing in just 30 - 45min exercise! BUT NO come 6pm I am like where did that day go. WHICH brings me to the biggest loser series THEY HAVE no distractions and can knuckle down for up to 14 weeks TO FOCUS on nothing but themselves....... AND do nothing but EXERCISE!AND the results speak for themselves PLEASE BIGGEST LOSER hurry up and come HERE!

I am hoping that with next term and some extra money I can go back to buying better food instead of cheaper cuts of meat(because I USED to buy skinless boneless chicken breasts only and fresh fish) those are now NOT on our shopping list, and BARGIN fruit and veges, I love the muesli recipe of Downsize me, they have awesome recipes and meal plans but the detox smoothies FRESH whole pineapple one of the ingredients, and the paraphenalia (sp) to buy can mount up, and as per usual THE GOOD FOOD is not cheap it is costly and I cant justify the expense of one person needing special food items, (boy being single and childless had its advantages) being able to buy WHAT you want, EAT what you want AND go out when you WANT, USE the phone when you want, GET to the computer when you want. I am sure if I had a personal trainer AND a house just for me with a HUGE personal gym system and POOL at the ready I TOO would be svelte and swexy and not in need of a makeover!!! and speaking of makeovers I have been dreaming of the day when I can afford to have my hair professionally straightened ($600), I am in June/July getting it done for free, I CANT WAIT I have had boofy,frizzy,BUNGA hair for all my life AND I AM SOOOOO OVER IT cause humidity/moisture and me JUST DONT blardy mix!!!My strong ethnicity HAIR type is THE BEES KNEES for straightening I looked into it at Rotorua and had many appointments and consults to see IF I was a good candidate.The FREE makeover is here in Taupo though.

With the half marathon ever present and looming, the walking will be increased and I'm sure I will get to 10 - 15 km but am mindful that I need to be walking AND BREATHING at the end not munted and BUNG leg, and DEAD (which all seem quite possible!), the nights are getting dark quicker and the frosts here are increasing each week with regularity, I looked long and hard at the treadmills and just couldnt part with the money I am sure it is a BIG mistake but WHEN I can justify for me A BIG ITEM like that then I will rethink it.

I haven't posted anymore photos as I can't get the bloody camera sorted it is on its way out and the cords and or switch are playing up and driving me spare because I have to take photos WHEN the thing actually turns on(it has a mind of its own and knows when I AM TRYING to use it), then if I am successful I have to remove card and then into printer and download through PRINTER when I can find the bloody thing (easy step download SO HE SAID), frustrating which swings back to THE TIME EQUATION again, I hate wasting it by fluffing around with techno things THAT I ARENT good at.

People are always talking about motivation and I seem to have lost me MOJO, but have we? We know when we exercise it increases the endorphins, and makes us feel good, when we can see through the sweat stinging eyes and block out the muscle burning pain, and wonder if the next breath is our last because our dam chests hurt so much from the sheer physical exertion of it all. And they tell us that exercise is good for us WHO, WHO says that I know perfect people who don't need to lose 10 - 50 kg, or more the ones who are already walking 1 hr no problem, can RUN EVEN, can buy clothes straight off the rack,dont suffer with chaffing, sweating, or blisters. I am just happy to do 30 mins of any exercise I would be estactic if I could get back to 1 and a 1/2 hours exercise every day and I was enjoying it STRANGE that, this weekend I am clearing out the garage and moving some stuff around to get the total gym and bike more room so I can get the stepper in and I have written my exercise programme out from the gym (I used to go too) in my garage at the moment I have a car a trailer an exercise bike a stepper not set up a bean(those ab thingys), a swiss ball weights and a fridge a wheelbarrow and a dolly trolley and 2 ladders!!!! SOMETHING has to give. Hopefully the lady up the road is coming down too she used to train with me for awhile but moved away from town she is now back AND although I crack the whip for her to get out and walk SHE kicks my butt for strength training, (I can however whip her in pushups 20 in one go half pushups mind you),Thats why I wanted the treadmill it is the weather deteriorating and the thought of walking in the rain slipping and damaging my foot and lower leg again is doing my head in, when I do my walks then add on the total gym 20 mins on the bike and some ab work I get over 1hr 35 mins exercise and I hurt, sweat and actually feel better, I may yet talk her and another lady into training with me for the half marathon so THAT should be a blast!! AND then I get to stay on track and be motivated. I am going to ask another lady I know if she wants to sell her treadmill a rebel sport one I know she isn't using it and well she is at the stage now she doesn't need it.

Hope everyone else has an awesome kids gone back to school week, I on the other hand will have hundreds of kids to face, (not literally of course), and I kinda of like it.

  1. The orthotics would have to be made for me and for just 1 pair they are about $500. I would most likely need 2 pairs, one for a sport shoe and one for a dress shoe.

  2. Hi chick, yes my Mum LOVED the chooky quilt.. it was for her birthday.
    She has it in the lounge on her couch...
    You are lucky you don't have hot flushes YET!
